Illayathalapathy Vijay’s Thuppakki has made a Box Office Collection of Rs.65.32 crores worldwide in its opening week. “The film collected Rs.65.32 crores worldwide in the first week. In Tamil Nadu, ‘Thuppakki’ raked in Rs.40 crores and above in the first six days and it continues to run to packed houses. It is also doing good business in neighbouring states such as Kerala and Andhra Pradesh,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss Thuppakki was release on Diwali November 13 in more than 1,500 screens worldwide. Thuppakki collected Rs.1.18 crore in Britain, Rs.1.76 crore in the US and Rs.37.99 lakh in Australia, in its opening weekend.
