Kamal to release Viswaroopam himself

Kamal Haasan and his Raj Kamal Film International (RKFI) will directly release his magnum opus Vishwaroopam in theatres. RKFI has now started booking theaters in Tamil Nadu for Vishwaroopam which will be the big Pongal release on January 11. Earlier Kamal had tied up with a major DTH player to have a simultaneous release in theaters and on television which triggered the Tamil Nadu theater organisations to protest and the plan was dropped. Vishwaroopam has already been censored with an UA certificate. Produced by Kamal in association with PVP Cinema, ' Viswaroopam' is directed by Kamal himself, who has played the lead role. Music is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, while Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah are the heroines. The promotions for the film will start from December 7 when the audio of the film will be launched in three key cities in Tamil Nadu.
