Vishwaroopam on Airtel DTH

upcoming film Viswaroopam on television via DTH connection for a one-time payment of rupees 1000. Viewers can watch the movie on television at least 8 hours before it is formally released in theatres on January 11. Theatre-owners across Chennai and elsewhere in the State are not amused by Kamal Haasan’s decision to release the film simultaneously on small-screen (television) as well. However, some section of the producers’ council has expressed its support to Kamal’s novel initiatives. DTH operators such as TataSky, AirTel, Reliance and Videocon were the prominent ones who vied to acquire the release rights of the film on television. AirTel finally prevailed and won the rights. In the meantime, efforts are on to broadcast the film via DTH in foreign countries as well. Countries which have a sizable population of Tamils have been listed out for this. Talks are on with Malaysia’s Astro, Singapore’s CisTel and other DTH operators to sell the film’s broadcasting rights. Theatre-owners in Tamil Nadu, however, aren’t yet convinced about releasing the film in theatres and haven’t given an assurance to Kamal so far about the screening of Viswaroopam in their halls on the said date. for more details please send email to us :: ramkicompany@gmail.com :: www.RPBROTHERS.in
