இந்திய சமுதாயத்தில்வேரூன்றி இருக்கும் ஜாதி கொள்கையை, அறியாதவர்கள் இந்து சமயத்தில்விளக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் ‘வர்ணா’வோடு ஒப்பிடுகின்றனர். அதை தவறு என்று எடுத்துரைப்பது ஒவ்வோர்இந்துக்களின் கடமையாகும்.

அந்த வகையில் இன்றுநாம் பகவத் கீதையில் பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணர் ஜாதியை எதிர்த்து என்னகூறியிருக்கிறார் என்று பார்க்கலாம். பகவத் கீதையில் எந்த ஜாதிகளின் பெயர்களும் குறிப்பிடப்படவில்லை. பகவான் வர்ணத்தைமட்டுமே விளக்கி உள்ளார். வர்ணம் என்பது ஒருவரின் செயல்களினால்தோன்றுவது. பிறப்பால் தோன்றுவது வர்ணம் இல்லை.

வர்ணம் என்றால் நிறம் இல்லை. நிறம்படி பார்த்தால் இராமரும் கிருஷ்ணரும் சிவனும் காளியும் கூட கறுப்பு தான். இந்து தருமம் கூறும் வர்ணம் நாம்  சாதி என்று இன்று தப்பாக கருதுவது போல் இல்லை. ரிக் வேதத்தின்ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட ஸ்லோகம் பிராம்மணர்கள் பரம்பொருளின் வாயில் இருந்து தோன்றியவர்கள்என்று மொழிப்பெயர்க்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால், அந்த மொழிப்பெயர்ப்பு முற்றிலும் தவறானது. அந்த ஸ்லோகத்தின் உண்மையான பொருள் என்னவென்றால், வாயானவன் பிராம்மணன்... அப்படியென்றால், பிராம்மணதொழில் செய்பவன் பரம்பொருளின் வாய்க்கு ஒப்பானவன் என்கிறது ரிக் வேதம். அதேபோல், சேவைதொழில் செய்பவர்கள் இறைவனின் திருவடிகளுக்கு ஒப்பானவர்கள். யாரும் பிறக்கும் போதேபிராம்மணராகவும் சூத்திரராகவும் பிறப்பதில்லை. தம் செயலால் இறைவனின் திருவடிகளுக்கு ஒப்பாக திகழ்ந்து உலகையே தாங்குகிறார்கள், சூத்திரர்கள். இதுதான் இந்து தர்மத்தின் மிக ஆழ்ந்த கருத்து.



 “வாயில் இருந்து குதித்தானாம் பிராம்மணன், காலில் மிதிப்பட்டு பிறந்தானாம் சூத்திரன்” இந்த தவறான மொழிப்பெயர்ப்பு படி பார்த்தால், ஓர் ஆன்மா பல முறைகள் தோன்றுகின்றன.வாயில் இருந்து தோன்றிய ஆன்மா, மீண்டும் காலில் இருந்து தோன்றுகிறது, மீண்டும் அதேஆன்மா கையில் இருந்து தோன்றுகிறது??? இது இந்து தருமத்திற்கு எதிரான ஒன்று. ஓர் ஆன்மா எப்படி மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பலமுறை தோன்றும்? ஆன்மாஒரு முறைதான் தோன்றும். முக்தியடைந்த பின்னர், பரம்பொருளை சேர்ந்துவிடும். இந்து தருமத்தின்படிஓர் ஆன்மா, முக்தியடையும் வரை பல உடல்களில் குடிக்கொண்டு தன்னை நிலைப்படுத்துகிறது.அத்தகைய ஆன்மா எந்த உயிர்களில் வேண்டுமானாலும் குடிக் கொள்ளும். ஒரு பிறவியில்இறைதொண்டு செய்பவராகவும், இன்னொரு பிறவியில் சேவைத் தொழில் செய்பவராகவும்பிறக்கலாம். அழிவில்லாத ஆன்மா எப்படி ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் பரம்பொருளின் வாயில்தோன்றும், பிறகு மீண்டும் திருவடியில் தோன்றும்? எனவே, சரியான மொழிப்பெயர்ப்புயாதெனில்..  “வாயானவன் பிராம்மணன்,கையானவன் சத்திரியன், தொடையானவன் வைசியன், காலானவன் சூத்திரன்”. இப்பிறவியில் நீ செய்யும் செய்தொழிலுக்கு ஏற்ப நீ வர்ணாவைப் பெறுவாய்.


ஜாதியை எதிர்க்கும் பகவத் கீதை

பகவத் கீதை(அத்தியாயம் 5 : ஸ்லோகம் 29)

“யான் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் உற்றவன்”
இந்த ஸ்லோகத்தில்இறைவன் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் நண்பன் என்று குறிப்பிடுகிறார். இதன் மூலம், இறைவனுக்கு பிராம்மணன், சத்திரியன், வைசியன்,சூத்திரன் என்று எந்த வேறுபாடுகளும் இல்லை. எனவே, யார்வேண்டுமானாலும் இறைவனை தொழலாம். பார்ப்பனர்கள் மட்டும் தான் இறைவனுக்கு தொண்டுசெய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற பாகுபாடுகளை இறைவன் கீதையில் சொல்லவில்லை. இது அதிகார சமுதாயத்தால் பலவீனமானவர்களை அடிமைப்படுத்தும் பொருட்டு உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு மாயை. மேலும், இந்துக்களில்சிலரை தீண்ட தகாதவர்கள் என்று குறிப்பிட்டு கோவிலுக்குள் நுழைய விடாமல் கொடுமை செய்வதுஎவ்வகையிலும் தர்மமாகாது. பகவானையும் அவர் அருளிய கீதையையும் மதியாதார் அவ்வாறு செய்வர்.


பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 9 : ஸ்லோகம் 29)
 “யான் எல்லா உயிர்களிடமும் சமமான அன்பு வைத்திருக்கிறேன். இறைவனை நினைவுகொண்டவர்கள் உள்ளத்தில் என்றுமே நான் குடியிருப்பேன். அவர்களும் என் உள்ளத்தில்என்றுமே குடியிருப்பார்கள்”


இறைவன் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் (மனிதர்கள் மட்டுமல்லாது, எல்லா உயிகளுக்கும்) சமமானவர் என்கிறார் பகவான். பொதுவாகவேஎல்லா உயிர்களின் உள்ளத்தில் இறைவன் குடியிருப்பார். நல்ல வினைகளை செய்வதாலும், யோகங்கள்,தியானங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதாலும் நம் உள்ளக் கமலத்தில் குடியிருக்கும் பரம்பொருளை நாம்மகிழ்விக்கலாம் என்கிறார் பகவான். ஒரு சூத்திரன் தொட்டால் தீட்டு ஆகும்என்கிறார்கள்.. அப்படியென்றால், ஒவ்வொரு உயிரின் (சூத்திரர் உட்பட) உள்ளத்திலும் குடியிருக்கும்பகவானுக்கு தீட்டு இல்லையா? பகவான் ஏன் இப்படி தாழ்ந்தவர் உள்ளத்திலும் குடியிருந்து ‘ஆசாரமில்லாமல்’ நடந்து கொள்கிறார்? புரியவில்லையா? அப்பையாவது உங்கள் மனதில் இருக்கும் இந்த சாதி, பேதம், பிரிவினை என்ற மாயை ஒழியுமா என்ற ஆசை தான் பகவானுக்கு...


பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 61)

இந்த ஸ்லோகத்தில் பகவான் எல்லா உயிர்களின் இருதயத்திலும் குடியிருப்பதாககூறுகிறார். மீண்டும், குறிப்பிட்ட சாதியினர் உள்ளத்தில் தான் குடியிருப்பதாக அவர் சொல்லவில்லை.


பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 4 : ஸ்லோகம் 13)

இந்த ஸ்லோகம் மிகவும் தெளிவான சிந்தனையோடு புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டிய ஸ்லோகம். நான்குவர்ணங்களும் மனிதர்களின் குணங்களைப் பொறுத்தே பகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்றுவிளக்குகிறார் பகவான். அவரவர் தன் குணத்திற்கு ஏற்ப அவரவர் செயல்களை (தொழில்களை)செய்து வாழவேண்டும். எந்தவொரு தொழிலையும் தாழ்வாகக் கருதக்கூடாது; தெருவைக்கூட்டிப் பெருக்குபவர் தாழ்வானவர்கள் என்றால் பிராம்மணர்களும் தான் கோவில்களைப்பெருக்கி சுத்தம் செய்கின்றனர். (மீண்டும் பிறப்பால் தோன்றுவது சாதி இல்லை என்றுதெளிவாக புரிகிறது)

பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 9 : ஸ்லோகம் 30)
“கொடும்பாவி ஆனாலும், அவன் முழுமனதோடு மனம் திருந்தி கடவுளை சரணடைந்தால் அவன் உத்தமன்ஆகுவான்”

சில சமயங்களில் தவறான செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டு பாவம் செய்பவர்களை கீழ்ச்சாதி என்றுகுறிப்பிடுகின்றனர். அவர்களின் வாரிசுகளை எல்லாம் பாவிகள் என்றுகுறிப்பிடுகின்றனர். இது மிக மிக மிக தவறு. எவ்வளவு பெரிய கொடும்பாவியாக இருந்தாலும்,அவன் கண்டிப்பாக திருந்தி விடுவான்... இப்பிறவியில் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் இனிவரும்பிறவிகளில் அவன் திருந்தி விடுவான். எனவே, பாவங்கள் செய்வதால் அவனை தாழ்ந்தவன்என்றும் அவன் வாரிசுகளை தாழ்ந்தவர்கள் என்றும் குறிப்பிடுவது இந்து தருமத்திற்குஎதிரான செயல். இராமாயணம் எழுதிய வால்மீகி கூட ஒரு திருடராகவும் கொலையாளியாகவும்வாழ்ந்தவர் தான். ஆனால், அவரின் பாவங்களை உணர்ந்து மனம் திருந்தி இறைவனைமுழுமனதுடன் சரணடைந்த்தால் இன்று வரை அவரை இவ்வுலகம் போற்றுகிறது. வால்மீகியைவிடுங்கள், நமது அருணகிரிநாதர்? தெரியும் தானே...

பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 9 : ஸ்லோகம் 31)
”பாவம் செய்தவனும் புனிதமாகி நிரந்தரஅமைதியை பெறுவான்”

எந்தவொரு ஆன்மாவும் தூய்மையான தியானங்களினாலும் யோகங்களினாலும் புனிதமடையும். அதுபிராம்மண உடலில் குடியிருக்கவேண்டும் என்று எந்தவொரு நிர்பந்தமும் இல்லை. கொலையாளிஉடலில் குடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆன்மா கூட முக்தி பெறும்; அவன் மனம் திருந்தி இறைவனைமுழுமனதோடு சரணடைந்தால்...

பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 9 : ஸ்லோகம் 32)
”பல தோற்றங்கள் கொண்டவர் பரம்பொருள், அவருக்குப் பலப் பெயர்கள். விஷ்ணுவாகநின்று காக்கவும், சிவனாக நின்று அழிக்கவும், பிரம்மாவாக நின்று படைக்கவும்செய்கிறார். பரம்பொருள் எங்கும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறார்.”

எங்கும் என்று குறிப்பிடுவது தீண்டாதகாதவர் என்று தூற்றும் மனிதர்கள் உடனும்இருக்கிறார். அவர்கள் வாழும் வீட்டிலும் இருக்கிறார். அவர்களோடு இருக்கிறார்.அவர்களோடு கலந்து இருக்கிறார்... இப்போது சொல்லுங்கள் இதன்படி பார்த்தால்பரம்பொருளும் தீண்டதகாவதரா?

பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 41)
“பிராம்மண, சத்திரிய, வைசிய, சூத்திரர்களை அவரவர் குணங்களுக்கும் திறமைகளுக்கும்ஏற்ப பகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.”

ஒரு சிறு உதாரணம் சொல்கிறேன் கேளுங்கள். உங்களுக்கு மூன்று குழந்தைகள்..ஒருவனுக்கு போலிஸ் ஆக ஆசையிருக்கும், இன்னொருவனுக்கு ஓவியன் ஆக ஆசையிருக்கும்,இன்னொருவனுக்கு ஆசிரியர் ஆகும் ஆசையிருக்கும். அதுபோல தான் பரம்பொருளுக்கு 7பில்லியன் குழந்தைகள் (இவ்வுலகில் மட்டும்)... அவரின் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தைகளுக்கும்ஒவ்வோர் ஆசை, ஒவ்வொரு திறமை, ஒவ்வொரு குனம்.. என் மூத்த மகன் ஆசிரியர் அதனால் தான்அவன் தான் உயர்ந்தவன் என்று நீங்கள் நினைப்பீரா? இல்லை என் இளைய மகன் போலிஸ்அதனால் அவன் உயர்ந்தவன் என்று நினைப்பீரா? இல்லை தானே..? அதுபோல தான் பகவான்சொல்கிறார். அவரின் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தைகளுக்கும் தனிப்பட்ட குணங்கள் இருக்கிறதாம்,அந்த குணங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப அவர்கள் வாழ்கின்றனர். புராணக் காலத்தின்படி பார்த்தால்சத்திரியனுக்கு (அரசன்)க்கு பிறந்த கௌதம புத்தர் பிராம்மணராகினார். பிராம்மணனுக்குபிறந்த பரசுராம் போரில் கலந்து கொண்டதால் சத்திரியன் ஆகினார். இக்காலத்துபடிசொன்னால், மருத்துவ தந்தைக்குப் பிறக்கும் மகன் மருத்தவன் ஆகிவிட முடியுமா? அவன்வளர்ந்து அவனின் குணங்களுக்கு ஏற்றவாறு அவன் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் துறையைப் பொறுத்தேஅவனின் வர்ணாவும் அமைகிறது.
பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 42)
பிராம்மணர் ஆக என்ன குணங்கள் தேவை?
(நோக்கவும், பிராம்மணர்கள் ஆக qualificationsஎனப்படும் தகுதிகள்தேவைப்படுகிறது. பிறப்பால் இல்லை.)
”சாந்தம், மன-அமைதி, எளிமை, தெளிவு,உளத்தூய்மை, எல்லா உயிர்களிடையேயும் அன்பு, மன்னிக்கும் சுபாவம், நேர்மை, ஞானம்,நம்பிக்கை, தெளிவான சிந்தனை இவை யாவும் பிராம்மணர் ஆக தகுதிகள்.”

பிறக்கும் போதே யாரும் இக்குணங்களோடு பிறப்பதில்லை... எனவே, பிறப்பால் யாருமேபிராம்மணர் ஆக முடியாது.
பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 43)

சத்திரியர் ஆக என்ன குணங்கள் தேவை?

“வீரமுடைய எண்ணம், மாண்பு, தைரியம், பெருந்தன்மை, உயர்ந்த குணம், தாராளம்,தன்னலமற்ற, வாரி வழங்குகிற, ஈகை குணம், சிறப்பாக தலைமை வகிக்கும் குணம் இவை யாவும்சத்திரியராக இருக்க வேண்டிய தகுதிகள்”


யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் இத்தகுதிகளைக் கொண்டிருக்கின் சத்திரியர் ஆகலாம். தங்களைசத்திரியர் என்று மார்தட்டி கொள்வோர், உங்களிடம் இக்குணங்கள் உள்ளதா என்றுபரிசோதித்து கொள்ளவும்.


பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 46)

”ஒருவன் தான்செய்யும் தொழிலை, இறைநம்பிக்கை கொண்டு தூய்மையான எண்ணத்தோடும் நேர்மையாகவும்செய்தால் அவன் உன்னதம் அடைகிறான்”

ஒருவன் சாக்கடை சுத்தம் செய்பவனாக இருந்தாலும் சரி இறைவனுக்குத் தொண்டு செய்பவராகஇருந்தாலும் சரி, உழவராக இருந்தாலும் சரி, போலிஸாக இருந்தாலும் சரி.. அவன் எந்ததவறும் செய்யாமல் தன் தொழிலை நேர்மையாக செய்தால் அவன் உன்னதமானவன்.
பகவத் கீதை (அத்தியாயம் 18 : ஸ்லோகம் 47)
”தன் திறமைக்கு முற்றிலும் ஒவ்வாத ஒரு தொழிலை, உயரிய தொழில் என்று கருதி; அத்தொழிலை தப்பு தப்பாக செய்வதை விட. தன் திறமைக்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு தொழிலை சிறப்பாகசெய்வது சிறப்பு”

“உங்களுக்கு யான் ஞானமும் அறிவும் அருளி இருக்கிறேன். அதை முறையாகஉபயோகப்படுத்துவது உங்களின் கடமை. சுதந்திரமாக உங்களின் திறனுக்கு ஏற்ற கருமங்களை(செயல்களை) செய்து தருமநெறி தவறாமல் வாழுங்கள்”
